This 2 session workshop is a great chance for budding actors to explore just what goes into a performer's craft. Students will use different techniques including movement, vocal and improvisational performance. While the material is tailored for those with basic/general acting experience, students of all levels are welcome. Ages 8 - 10 dates: March 7 and 9; ages 11 - 13: March 14 and 16; ages 14 - 17: March 21 and 23; ages 18 and up: March 28 and 30. Advance registration is required and attendance for both sessions is preferred.

A family friendly, interactive performance introduces children and parents to the ""fascinatin’ rhythms" of George and Ira Gershwin. The David Leonhardt Jazz Group and the Shelley Oliver Tap Ensemble unite for an educational and inspiring presentation designed to introduce younger audiences to tap dancing and jazz through the use of creative improvisation in rhythm and melody. Audience participation is encouraged through singing, clapping, scatting, and movement to structure a one-of-a-kind performance every time.
