Creative Movement and Mime with instructor Bill Bowers is for anyone interested in theatre, dance, or body movement. This workshop provides an introduction to Mime and Pantomime, and will include physical warm-up, style work, and movement improvisation. Participants will learn basic illusory skills, and gain an awareness of how mime can augment their actor training.

About the event

This workshop is designed for aspiring playwrights of all experience levels (ages 16 and up) and details the journey of a new play from conception to execution, submission, and hopefully production. Led by Premiere Stages Producing Artistic Director John Wooten and Resident Dramaturg Clare Drobot the workshop will feature writing exercises, a discussion of the playwright submission process, and advice on the process of moving your play from the page to the stage. Participants will also have the opportunity to write monologues or short scenes that will be read by Equity actors in the workshop.

NJTA Artist Members "It's Greek to Me" Mask Making Workshop....The use of masks in theater has been around for thousand of years, beginning in ancient Greece. In this exciting workshop, students will enjoy a brief history of the use of masks in theater throughout the centuries. They will also have the opportunity to create a mask of their own, that they will use for an in class performance. Students are asked to come to class with a sheet.
